Vice President, BtoB/Consumer Behavior Group [US Office]

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for an individual with management and entrepreneurial skills. The position will involve the responsibility to develop and manage a growing business unit focusing on the consumer and BtoB industries.

As the head of this new division, you will have strong interaction with industry clients and will primarily focus on account acquisitions and business development. The position will also involve acting as a liaison to our European consumer division located in Germany. Other responsibilities include:

• Manage all activities of assigned team to include work assignments, training and development and performance review
• Set direction and oversee all phases of market research projects (both domestic and international) ensuring that all activities are done accurately, efficiently, within budget and in a timely manner
• Establish and maintain strong working relationships with clients/accounts
• Recommend changes or modifications to existing procedures that can lead to improved service
• Generate reports and participate in presentations which address client issues
• Provide guidance and supervision to team to ensure the accurate and timely execution of research projects – including analytic guidance
• Participate in the development of financial plans and budgets
• Stay current on trends and developments in the area of market research
• Meet with industry clients on a regular basis to ensure a continuation of existing relationships and discover opportunities to develop additional business
• Assist in developing study bids and in writing proposals
• Perform other essential duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of 12 years supplier-side market research experience working within the consumer and/or BtoB industry
• Experience with both qualitative and quantitative analysis
• Excellent leadership, communication and analytical skills
• Prior experience in luxury goods, industrial research, automotive, telecommunications, or energy industry is desirable
