Drawing on his more than 15 years of research experience in the pharmaceutical industry, Brian brings a mature perspective to research that is best described as “real world” – combining training and experience in quantitative methodologies with a facility in other research modalities (qualitative, secondary sources) that ultimately provide an information-rich, integrated and actionable result for clients.

Beyond that, Brian prides himself on being both a good listener and educator – hearing clients’ business issues, building consensus, and communicating in plain language throughout the research process.

Brian’s experience covers a wide range:

  • Majority of Top-20 Pharma, as well as biotech and specialty pharmaceutical clients
  • Product lifecycle from pre-launch, launch, through lifecycle management
  • Most every therapeutic category and healthcare audience
  • Marketing issues including market opportunity assessment, forecasting, pricing, positioning and message development
  • Application of leading-edge quantitative techniques including conjoint and discrete choice (in its various forms – including integrated physician-payer-patient-pharmacist models), Bayesian methods, Latent Class segmentation, and structural equation modeling

Brian received a Ph.D. in Communication from the Annenberg School For Communication at the University of Pennsylvania in 1994, an M.A. in Communication from Wake Forest University in 1988, and a B.A. in Psychology from Wake Forest University in 1985.

He has written a variety of scholarly and industry articles, the latest of which is “Clinical Trials & Statistical Tribulations” in the February 2008 issue of the peer-reviewed journal Applied Clinical Trials.
