U&A - Base studies/ Product and concept tests

Base studies (Usage & Attitude) as well as product and concept tests deal with the crucial questions of an IT/ Telecommunication provider, such as what product/ what service - e.g. user device, software solution, service/ customer support - should I offer on the market? How does my (potential) customer think and act? What concrete needs does he or she have? How are my brand and my company perceived?

Objective:

The objective of Psyma research is to gain better insight and understanding of customers and potential new customers. In addition to the product, the brand, the market and the competitive environment, Psyma sheds light on the attitudes, motives and behaviors of target groups with regard to new and existing products, concepts and services.

Result:

  • Attitudes of the target group(s); e.g. private customers, business customers, IT decision-makers etc.
  • Image of an IT/ telecommunications company
  • Brand core analysis
  • Acceptance and expectations of IT/ telecommunications products and services (from the first idea sketches to already marketable offers)
  • Preferences and willingness to pay among the target group(s) (see also: Price/ rate test)
  • Determination of sales or turnover potentials as well as purchase likelihood.
  • Knowledge of the competitive situation and opportunities for (new) product segments
  • Derivation of buyer segments/ typologies and their target group-specific characteristics (see also: Response optimization)

Applications:

  • Product launches and relaunches
  • Service application testing
  • Device innovation testing (see also: Software/ Ergonomics/ Usability)
