Extended Product Tests
This type of study can cover anything from product packaging to size, shape and color of the drug itself, diary packs and dispensers. These aspects of product development deserve particular attention.
A regularly scrutinized subject is the color of solid (tablets, lozenges and capsules) and liquid (soluble tablets, syrups, suspensions) drug forms. Multimorbid patients for instance run a special risk of confusing their medications if not clearly distinguished.
For indications with notoriously poor patient compliance, colors creating negative associations should be avoided in order to help lower psychological thresholds. In chronic treatments, visual brand identity may help enhance the patient's commitment to his/her medication.
Corporate Identity may likewise result in color coding of the drugs (e.g. signature colors for all medication for a specific indication).
By testing every possible aspect of the extended product, we employ our international expertise – always bearing the significance of intercultural variations in mind – which allows us to determine optimal parameters to cater to the success of your product.
